Mud flat wolf spider (Tasmanicosa phyllis)

Description Tasmanicosa phyllis is a large wolf spider which is tan in colouration with a light union-jack pattern on the carapace. It is the only species in the genus Tasmanicosa which constructs a burrow fitted with a trapdoor, all other species in the genus create open burrows.
